CONFERENCE SITE
SERVICES ON SITE
A child-care service is offered free of charge at the conference site. For safety reason the service is limited to 25 children in the age range 1-12. The lunches for the children are included in the service. The service is managed by professional child-care providers who speak English. The number of operators will be two every 10 children under three years and one every 10 children over three years. The service is available for all the days of the conference (THU, FRY, SAT, MON, TUE, WED) from 9:00 am to 7:00 pm.
All the children must have with them a backpack with a change of clothes (they can get wet, get dirty…) and a water bottle. Babies, on the other hand, must also have DIAPERS AND WIPES.
The parents on arrival will leave the children to the educators after signing a signature sheets and they will check the phone numbers in order to be available in case of need.
It is possible to welcome children even if not registered with particular attention to the numbers, especially the first days, and especially the ones very young.
A dedicated area for charging laptop and phone is available at the ground floor of the conference site, next to the child-care room. The devices should not be left unattended during the recharge.
TRANSPORTATION
The conference site is located 3 Km away from Piazza Maggiore, the heart of Bologna. A free dedicated bus service from/to the city centre to/from the conference site in the morning/evening will be provided for the conference participants.
The buses will start in the morning from 8:00 to 10:00 from in front of Teatro Arena del Sole (Via dell’Indipendenza 44) and in the evening, at the end of the sessions, from the conference site. The journey time is approximately 15 minutes.
The free bus service will also be available from 17:30 to 19:00 on Wednesday 6 July towards the conference site for the Welcome Drink and from the conference site to the city centre at the end of the event.
The conference site can also be reached every day with Tper buses 28 – 35 and 38 – 39 at the regular city rate.

Tickets can be purchased before getting on the bus, at any newsagent’s or tobacconists, or on the bus for an extra price. A single fare costs 1,50 EUR (2,00 EUR on board, using coins or credit card), a day pass costs 6,00 EUR, a “city pass” ticket costs 14,00 EUR (10 rides for 14,00 EUR instead of 15,00, usable by more than one people at a time, just validate it more than once when getting on the bus). All tickets are valid for 75 minutes and allow any bus change within their validity.
A bike-sharing service is available through the mobile app RideMovi which allows to browse the map and localize the nearest bikes. The app can be downloaded from Apple Store or Google Play (instructions for use on www.ridemovi.com) and makes available for rent 2200 standard bikes and 360 electric-bikes.

COVID-19 RELATED INFORMATION
We remind everybody that wearing a FFP2 mask is mandatory in Italy on public transportation (Trains, Buses, Taxis, etc., only airplanes are excluded).
Hand sanitizer will be available at the conference venue. In case of need, a stock of FFP2 masks will be available at the venue.
As the number of daily Covid-19 infections is high, even though most infected people experience mild or no symptoms, we highly recommend the use of FFP2 masks inside the venue and wherever social distancing cannot be guaranteed.
In case you develop symptoms, we recommend to immediately isolate yourself and promptly contact the conference organization at ichep2022-info@bo.infn.it who will take care of suggesting the steps to follow.
Even if wearing a face mask is not mandatory, its use inside the conference venue is highly recommended
COVID-19 PCR TEST
There are a lot of medical labs in Bologna that perform PCR test. One of these is within walking distance from the conference venue:

They accept credit card, guarantee the result in 48 hours, but usually it is available after 24 hours. The result, in Italian and English, can also be downloaded from their website. They perform PCR tests from Monday to Saturday 10:00-11:30 without appointment, the cost is 50/60 euros (Italian/English).
Many other labs in Bologna perform the PCR test, however none of them gives results in less than 24 hours, take this into account in making your travel plans.
HEPCon app
All the relevant information of ICHEP 2022 will also be displayed on the HEPCon app which is available for IOS and Android on Apple Store or Google Play. The app is interfaced with the Indico environment and makes available on your mobile phone the full scientific program of the conference, together with all the information about the sites of the conference and of the social events. The HEPCon app is used by several HEP conferences, at the first launch of the app the participants have to select ICHEP 2022 and load the conference data.

All conference environments are covered by broadband connection. The Wi-Fi connection mode will be provided on site to the participants.

A badge is required to be admitted to the scientific sessions and to any service purchased during your registration (Lunch and/or Gala Dinner).
A staff member will check your badge before allowing access.
The welcome drink, the poster session buffet and all the coffee breaks are included in the conference fee.
The lunches during the conference are not included in the registration fee and, if not purchased in advance, can be booked on site at the cost of 20 EUR each subject to availability.
The ticket for the gala dinner can be purchased at the cost of 70 EUR subject to availability. The dinner will be served in the magnificent scenario of Palazzo Re Enzo, one of the most famous historical buildings in Bologna, built in the XIII century and located in front of Piazza Maggiore.
A photographer will be present during the event and will be doing a photo shoot that will be used in all means of communication for the event.
ACCOMMODATION
Many different types of accommodations are available in Bologna, both downtown and in the Fiera district where the conference site is located (~2.5 km from Piazza Maggiore, the heart of Bologna).
The Bologna Tourist Bureau makes available a list of possible options:
- Rooms will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis
- Reservations should be made online
- Room rates are inclusive of tax & service charge
- The city tax is not included and must be paid directly at the hotel
- If you have any special requests (e.g. extra beds, animal, etc.), please indicate them in the Note box at the online registration form
SOCIAL EVENTS
The organizers are pleased to welcome all participants upon their arrival to the ICHEP 2022 conference. A welcome drink will be served from 18:30 to 20:30 at the conference venue. Don’t miss the chance to hang over with colleagues and friends and get acquainted with new colleagues from all over the world, in a cheerful atmosphere.
From 19:00 to 21:00 a “local wine and food tasting” will be offered at the conference venue during the poster session.
The gala dinner will be served, starting at 20:30 in the magnificent scenario of Palazzo Re Enzo, one of the most famous historical buildings in Bologna, built in the XIII century and located in front of Piazza Maggiore.
